Cynthia Hauer, Treasurer

Cynthia C. Hauer is Manager of Information Engineering for MEVATEC Corporation. She has been involved in CALS throughout the evolution of it's acronym changes. Under her direction, MEVATEC assisted the THAAD Project Office to achieve CALS compliance in 1994, with the ability to exchange files internally and with numerous remote
locations across firewalls, using a database application that password protects proprietary data from multiple contractors. This system also accepts IGES formats from source engineering drawings and multiple CAD/CAM systems. That effort also included the development of a GCO document. She is currently involved with several MICOM programs
that are working towards CALS compliance. She has a special interest in engineering data formats and exchange. Ms. Hauer is the treasurer of the AFEB, and a board member of the national organization of the Association for Data and Configuration Management (ACDM), and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Ms. Hauer provides instruction in data management and configuration management for Electronics Industries Association (EIA) and ACDM. She
holds a BS degree in Computer Science, with a concentration in Software Engineering.
