By education, I am a teacher, Adult Education Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. By profession, I am a Metrologist, U. S. Air Force School of Applied Sciences, Denver Co. By occupation, I am a Logistics Engineer, mostly one to four week courses at various commercial training centers.

 

My prime duties at Lockheed Martin are to administer the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) data base and manage the computer assets required to utilize that data base. The main duties performed are:

  • costing estimates and level of repair analyses using various computer based models
  • maintaining  a Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) data base
  • controlling  access to LSAR application
  • correcting user problems encountered during data entry
  • coordinating  problems with software vendors
  • providing  training and procedures for utilizing the LSAR
  • performing daily backup of the database
  • integrating RADAR data base as new updates become available
  • copying reports as requested.

While administrating the LSAR host computer, I enter data perform studies and generate reports using Systems Logistics Integration Capability (SLIC), LOGAM and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) software. I also prepare trade studies from the data bases associated with LOGAM, SLIC and LORA. Acting as a point of contact for distribution and hosting of Military data bases and models i.e. FEDLOG, AR 25-30, Hseries, CALM5 COMPASS, COMPASS LITE, MARC database, AFR 800-4, Army Cost Factors Handbook DELAPS and LOGAM, is also a responsibility. Additional duties include:

  • preparing and presenting training for Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) awareness
  • submitting requests for new computer and software assets
  • coordinating software maintenance agreement for SLIC and request maintenance funds;
  • initiating requests for services for computer maintenance and software support;
  • monitoring and obtain studies made available through the Defense Logistics Studies Information Exchange.
