Ron is Programs and Business Manager for Intergraph Corporation's Enterprise Services Division. He has been active in CALS from its inception. Ron served as liaison between the NSIA Software Committee and the CALS ISG during the early days of CALS, and has since served on numerous CALS committees.

Qualifications:

Current tasks at Intergraph Enterprise Services Division (IESD) include program management of the development, production, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-wide computer-aided information systems for federal and commercial applications. Creation of new logistics and manufacturing systems and the integration of these with existing legacy systems is Ron's particular focus. The use of CALS concepts and CALS-compatible formats to gain the benefits of cost-improved generic information production and management, and performance-improved end-user delivery is the requirement in most of these systems. The use of sound business process re-engineering methodology and CALS-initiated (e.g., IDEF modeling) tools is often the first step in the requirements assessment for these new systems.

Other duties that equip Ron for his leadership role:

• 20 years experience in DoD and commercial information systems development and deployment
• Intergraph Program Manager for all TV Guide programs. Intergraph is the prime contractor for TV Guide publications -- the largest circulation weekly publication in the world
• Intergraph Program Manager for Air Force Contract Aircraft Repair (CAR) Business Process Engineering
• Developed and managed Navy Automated Technical Information (ATI) system for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS)
• Co-developed and managed Army Automated Publications Production System (APPS) and Electronic Maintenance Publications System (EMPS) -- the latter now the Patriot Automated Logistics System (PALS)
• Member CALS ISG Standards Committee
• Member CALS SP-HIS, Special Project -- Hypermedia Information Systems Committee
