Benefits of Membership

While meetings areto everyone, there are advantages to being listed as a member.

  • Expedited Communication You will receive early notification of meetings, seminars, regulations, and availability of reference material.
  • Networking You will be recognized among your CALS peers and be sought out for your particular areas of expertise. Membership will help others identify your expertise and you will learn of others with complementary skills and experience. There will be opportunities to share experiences so all may benefit.
  • Education We want to make our meetings informative and useful. As a member, you will influence the content and direction of AFEB activities.
  • Participation CALS, along with many other related information technologies, is undergoing rapid technological evolution, definition, standardization, and acceptance. Regional Interest Groups, such as the HCIG, are being asked to help shape and define these directions. As a member, you can help determine these directions. Your opinions will be sought out.
  • Influence There is strength in numbers. A vibrant organization will have increasing influence with government, social, educational, and industry leaders. Support for positions on issues of import to you and your peers will relate to the strength of the organization.
  • Economics As a member, you will have reduced rates for AFEB sponsored seminars, tutorials, and special meetings.
  • Access - As a member, you will have access to areas in the AFEB WebPages that are unavailable to non-AFEB members. This function is will be available soon.
